Fairway Golf - the exclusive distributor of Full Swing Golf simulators in India - in association with American Express and ITC Hotel Maurya Sheraton & Towers, organised an "Exclusive Evening of Golf".
The beautiful evening was held to view the Open Championship, taking place at Hoylake, on giant screens, where Tiger Woods jostled with the other big names of golf, including Ernie Els, Chris Dimarco and Sergio Garcia, to clinch his third title.
The highlight of the event was the unveiling of a top of the line Full Swing Golf simulator in the country. The occasion presented an opportunity for the golf afficionados of Delhi to try out the simulator first-hand.
A closest to the pin competition was organised on the simulator and the participants played the picturesque Par 3 World famous "Devil's Cauldron" hole number 4 at Banff Springs, Canada. A certified golf professional personally conducted an analytical review of each participant's swing through a video recording.
Shiv Kapur, the Volvo Masters of Asia 2005 champion and the only Indian player at the 2006 Open Championship interacted with the invitees in a live telephonic chat.
International air tickets, luxury hotel stays abroad, golf equipment and hampers were offered for various games and contests during the evening.
Our associate sponsors for the event were Audi, Chivas Regal, British Airways, Wills Lifestyle and Visit Britain. The evening was managed by RN Golf Management, a venture of Rishi Narain, the 1982 Asian Games gold medalist winner for golf.
