The 2006 London Golf Show proved to be a huge success for Full Swing Golf and The Indoor Golf Company. Over the four days of the show, thousands of golfers either witnessed or personally experienced the incredible accuracy and realism of the Full Swing Golf simulator: "The undisputed global leaders in golf simulation!"
Indoor Golf had two Full Swing Golf simulators on their stand at the London Golf Show. These latest specification systems running 58 courses on XP platform were used to run two competitions, a nearest the pin challenge and a longest drive.
The nearest the pin competition was generously sponsored by the De Vere Belfry with the prize for the closest shot being a round for two around the famous Brabazon course followed by a session of body motion analysis to help improve the winner's swing. The winner of the nearest the pin competition was Neil Shepherd of Corringham, Essex. Our congratulations to Neil, we hope you enjoy your day at the De Vere Belfry.
The longest drive competition had a prize for the biggest hitting male and female golfers. As with the nearest the pin competition there was huge interest in this event. The eventual longest hitter was Louis with a drive of 319.8 yards, and the longest driving lady was Sarah Bendelow who travelled all the way from Newcastle for the show, and recorded a drive of 227.5 yards. Congratulations to you both.
From the moment the ExCel exhibition hall doors opened each morning, to well after the "official" closing time, both the Full Swing Golf simulators were packed with golfers of all standards keen to take part and to experience the fun for themselves.
It is no exaggeration to say that the Full Swing systems were once again the most popular features on display at the show, with constant queues and often plenty of patience required by those golfers waiting their turn.
At the Indoor Golf stand we were inundated with enquiries regarding the supply and installation of Full Swing Golf simulators from around the UK and Republic of Ireland, proving once again the levels of interest in these incredible systems as their use continues to expand rapidly around the UK. With more centres opening up and down the country in the coming months, there has never been a better time to become part of the growing UK indoor golf industry.
